Our Program
Where Learning Meets Fun
We believe every child is unique and develops at their own pace, and we are looking forward to supporting and nurturing your children during their formative years. Creating a warm, home-like environment tailored to the needs of children is to us the way little ones should explore their first years of life. We support the strong desire that children just should be children and enjoy life.
Movement & Music
Movement and Music are essential for children's development. At Little Footprints, we provide various opportunities for children to explore movement and music through animal walks, singing, dancing, and making music with drums, sticks and flute. We create a fun and engaging environment where children can learn and have fun.
Outdoor Play
Spending time in nature is important for children's well-being. We do a lot of outdoor activities, whether it be free play in the yard, structured play on our covered porch or heading on a nature walk or bike ride. We organize various activities that promote physical activity and exploration of the natural world.
Arts & Crafts
Beside the gross motor skills which the children explore through movement and outdoor play, fine motor skills are another important part of development in those first years. Children's fine motor skills and creativity will be encouraged through various arts and crafts activities such as painting, drawing and cutting. We nurture children to express themselves through art and explore their imagination.
Social & Emotional Development
To help children develop their social skills, among others, we will visit the SSCS playgroup and circle time nearby or visit the Public library. We also help children to learn about their own and others emotions and provide strategies to manage them.
Storytelling
Language and literacy are important skills that children need to develop. At Little Footprints, children can develop their language skills through storytelling, singing and reading.
Snack time & Lunch
Cooking is something we love to do, getting messy in the kitchen is always fun. Providing organic and local food is important at Little Footprints and preparing, and discussing food items is an essential part of our daily routine.
